I originally learned cupping in my East Asian Medicine training which started in 1997. At the time I had never heard of facial cupping. The first time I heard about it, I thought that it must be some kind of scam... until I tried it on myself.
A few years ago I had to board a plane for California and I woke up with a nasty head cold. It was the perfect opportunity to put facial cupping to the test. That was the first in a sequence of events that led me to develop the Facial Cupping Masterclass, and then this Facial Cupping for self-care training.
After receiving facial cupping from me, many of my clients were begging me to show them how it was done, so I offered them my Facial Cupping Masterclass - but it is a really meaty course and I could see that it was a bit overwhelming so I adjusted it to serve the every day person and their own self-care.
My desire to provide high quality materials for practitioners to not only improve the quality of treatments, but also to make it easier practitioners bodies has been a prime motivation.
Since the 2016 Olympics cupping therapy has become extremely popular, and there was a lot of misinformation being spread through the media networks. It became my mission to try to correct some of the misinformation, and provide high quality, evidence based information that is delivered through the lens of Traditional Medicine.
