A Natural, Hands-On Approach to Facial Care

Gentle, relaxing and easy to incorporate into your existing treatments, facial cupping gives you another way to support the face and skin without invasive techniques.

Add a Gentle, Versatile Service to Your Practice

Facial cupping gives practitioners another way to combine therapeutic touch with facial and skin care — using techniques that are gentle for your clients and easy on your own body.

For practitioners, that's an especially useful combination.

Facial cupping can be offered as a stand-alone service or incorporated into treatments you already provide. Clients may also choose to return regularly, making it a natural addition to an ongoing treatment or self-care routine.

Why Practitioners Add Facial Cupping

Facial cupping techniques may be used to support:

  • circulation to the tissues of the face
  • relaxation of facial and jaw tension
  • healthy-looking skin and complexion
  • gentle movement of the superficial tissues
  • facial and sinus-focused treatments
  • relaxation and self-care

You'll learn techniques for both cosmetic and therapeutic applications, giving you the flexibility to adapt facial cupping to your own scope of practice and the clients you already serve.

A Service That's Easier on Your Body

One of the reasons I love teaching facial cupping is that it gives bodyworkers another meaningful way to work with clients without adding another physically demanding treatment to their schedule.

And because facial cupping can become part of a client's regular care, it can also create opportunities for repeat bookings and an additional service within your practice.

The instructional videos demonstrate the use of both silicone and glass cups, and the video demonstration includes a cupping for self-care video as well.

Who Is This Training For?

This course is designed for bodyworkers, massage therapists, acupuncturists, estheticians and other practitioners who want to incorporate facial cupping into their work.

It's also appropriate for those who want to learn the techniques for their own self-care.

The instructional demonstrations include silicone and glass facial cups, as well as techniques you can use on yourself.

“Not one person has ever experienced a bruise due to facial cupping just like Lisa claimed would be the case if her instructions were followed.
In addition to the practical application of what we learned from Lisa we also enjoyed the layout of the course which was easy to navigate through. Her style of teaching was warm and friendly in our opinion.
We both look forward to learning more from Lisa as time allows and our associated interest peaks. ”

Lisa Dowling, BA., R. Ac.

Acupuncturist, Manual Therapist & Educator

I first learned cupping as part of my East Asian Medicine training, which began in 1997. At the time, I had never heard of facial cupping — and when I first encountered it years later, I was skeptical.

Then I tried it myself.

What began as curiosity eventually became part of my clinical practice. My clients became interested too, and many began asking me to teach them techniques they could use themselves. That progression led me to develop both the Facial Cupping Masterclass for practitioners and a simplified approach to facial cupping for self-care.

I've been teaching cupping therapy to practitioners for many years, with an emphasis on safe technique, clinical reasoning and understanding the traditional principles behind the work.

One of my priorities as an educator is also helping practitioners find effective ways to work that are less physically demanding on their own bodies. Facial cupping fits beautifully into that philosophy: it's a gentle, versatile skill that can expand what you offer without adding another strenuous technique to your treatment day.

My teaching combines practical hands-on application with evidence-informed education and the traditional East Asian Medicine principles from which cupping developed.
