Will GUA SHA hurt my clients?
There is very little risk of harm with GUA SHA. There are several factors to consider around who is a good candidate for GUA SHA that we cover in the course.
Should my client have a red rash?
In many cases, yes. If you are working in areas where there are a lot of superficial blood vessels, and there is congestion in the tissues it is a normal response to scraping.
What is my client ISN'T getting marks?
We discuss that in the course as well, there can be a number of reasons why there are no marks. It could be appropriate or there may need to adjustments to the treatment.
How do I know if GUA SHA is right for my client?
Once you follow the foundations part of the curriculum, it will become more clear what clients will most benefit from GUA SHA.
